Educational Sessions

We follow the ethos educate the young, impact the future. Thus, since 2017 we have ran a road safety campaign across schools and colleges across the Coventry, Nuneaton, Warwickshire and Birmingham in the spirit of road user safety. Initially we focused our talks on Drink and Drug driving however as time went by we realised the risks of not just drink and drugs but all forms of incorrect practice when using the road is part of a much bigger problem.

What do we want?
  • We want an increase in road user safety knowledge throughout upcoming and young road users.
  • A safer environment for ALL road users.
  • To deliver awareness & knowledge in a way that is fun and interactive whilst also hard-hitting and real.

Because Your Life Counts offers interactive and informative sessions to UK Schools, Colleges and Universities. These sessions are ran in conjunction with West Midlands Fire Service & Advanced Driving Training Providers IAM RoadSmart and since the launch of these sessions in September 2017 we have receiving glowing feedback. These sessions are fun, interactive, informative and hard hitting. During these sessions we use virtual reality for people in attendance to witness a road traffic collision for themselves…But in a safe environment. The clip we use is the double award-winning Leicestershire Crash Car provided by TheIceHub. In addition to this our session includes beer goggle activities and an informative talk by one of IAM RoadSmart's Young Driver Ambassadors. We are always on the lookout for volunteers with first-hand experience in this field to come along and tell their stories to the attendees.

We believe, we now provide the best road user safety education in just a one-hour slot.
If you would like to get involved with our educational programme either as a volunteer or somebody who would like us to host one of these interactive sessions involving VR Technology and Beer Goggles at your school, college or group, please call us on 0800 118 2001 or email us.
